Prairie County Arrest History
Prairie County arrest history can begin with the Prairie County Sheriff’s Office, Des Arc Police Department, Hazen Police Department, DeValls Bluff Police Department, Arkansas State Police, or another agency with arrest power. The arresting officer creates an agency record. A custodial arrest then creates a booking entry at the county jail. If a prosecutor files a charge, a third record appears in Circuit Court or a Prairie County District Court department.
Those files answer different questions. An incident report describes the event known to the police. A booking entry confirms jail intake and lists the alleged charges at that time. A court docket follows the filed case. Arkansas Crime Information Center records may receive fingerprint and charge data plus a later judicial disposition. No single Prairie County arrest search replaces all four layers.
Prairie County Roster Controls
The official Prairie County Sheriff’s Office Jail Roster is the strongest first stop for current custody. Its controls are unusually clear for a small county roster. Readers can move among current inmates, new inmates, and recent releases, then sort or narrow what appears.
| Control | Use | Limit |
|---|---|---|
| Current Inmates | Shows people held now | Not a full historical list |
| New Inmates | Shows bookings from the last 48 hours | Short time window |
| Recent Releases | Shows people recently released | Older releases roll off |
| Sort By | Orders by arrested date or name | Does not search old archives |
| Page Size | Displays 10, 20, or 30 entries | Display control only |
The roster should be read as a live custody tool. A missing name does not prove that no arrest occurred. The person may have been released, cited without county booking, held elsewhere, transferred, or booked under data that does not match the search.
The official roster’s new-inmate view is shown in the source image below. It gives the reader a direct view of the county’s recent-booking channel without republishing any person’s photo or name.
Use the live source for current information because a captured interface can age quickly.
Looking Up Prairie County Arrests
A complete Prairie County arrest lookup follows the record from jail intake to the agency and court. Start with the most time-sensitive source, then move outward only as needed.
- Search the county roster. Check Current Inmates, New Inmates, and Recent Releases, and note the arresting agency, arrest time, charge, bond, and court label.
- Call the sheriff at 870-256-4137 or the jail at 870-256-4138 for routing and custody questions. Ask the city police agency for its own incident report when city officers made the arrest.
- Match a filed charge through Search ARCourts. Contact the Circuit Clerk for felony files or the named district court clerk for lower-level matters.
- Use Arkansas Criminal History when an official statewide name-based product fits the question. ARCH has a limited Arkansas scope and is not a county booking archive.
- Submit a focused Arkansas Freedom of Information Act request when the online sources do not provide the public agency record. Give the name, date, agency, and case or booking number if known.
Federal custody belongs in the Bureau of Prisons locator, while state prison custody belongs in the Arkansas Department of Corrections Inmate Search. VINELink adds custody notification. These systems do not replace the Prairie County jail record.
The roster also helps with name matching. Its demographic line and city or state address can distinguish similar names, while the arresting agency and court name point to the next official source. Do not use the displayed charge as a final result. Compare it with the filed court charge and disposition.
Prairie County Arrest Request Fallback
No separate sheriff records-division page or public request form was found in the official sources reviewed. The practical fallback is the listed sheriff office, followed by a written FOIA request when the inquiry calls for a formal response. The sheriff can route questions about bookings, custody, sheriff incident reports, warrant execution, and records held by the jail.

Ask for the current copy charge, identification rule, and accepted request method before sending money. The research found no published sheriff fee schedule. Jail staff should also be called for current visitation, mail, money, and phone rules because no official vendor page was located.
A useful written request separates records by custodian. Ask the sheriff for a deputy report or jail booking. Ask city police for a report made by that department. Ask the clerk for pleadings, orders, and judgments. Include a narrow date range and request the public portion when exemptions require redaction.
Note: The county jail has a listed capacity of 64, but capacity does not describe the number held on any given day.
Inside a Prairie County Arrest Record
The Prairie County roster exposes booking fields, not a full police narrative or final court judgment. Its field layout helps identify the right agency and court for the next request.
| Name and photo | Displayed on the live roster; this resource republishes neither arrestee names nor booking photos. |
|---|---|
| Race, sex, and age | Shown as a brief demographic line. |
| Address | City and state are displayed. |
| Arrested | Date and time of the recorded arrest or intake. |
| Arrested By | Names the agency that made the arrest. |
| Charges | One or more allegations recorded at booking, subject to later change. |
| Bond | One or more bond amounts may appear by charge or booking line. |
| Court information | Court date and court name appear when scheduled. |
The public text view did not show a date of birth, Social Security number, state ID, warrant number, jail pod, or medical and security flags. Court labels observed in the field structure included Northern Circuit, Southern Circuit, Hazen District Court, and DeValls Bluff District.
Prairie County Agency Routing
The arresting-agency field is more than a label. It tells the reader where the incident or offense report may be held. A Prairie County Sheriff arrest points to the sheriff. A Des Arc, Hazen, or DeValls Bluff police arrest points first to that city department for the city report, even though the booking appears on the county roster.
The Prairie County criminal court case then belongs with the relevant clerk. Felony files route to Circuit Clerk Gaylon Hale at 200 Courthouse Square, Suite 104, Des Arc, phone 870-256-4434. District matters route by department. Roster court labels can help resolve that path.
City police may redact active-investigation facts, victim information, juvenile information, personal identifiers, or other protected material. Requesters should ask for the reasonably segregable public part of the record rather than assume the entire report must be withheld.
Booking Logs and Recent Arrests
Prairie County publishes both recent intake and release views. The Recent Releases roster is useful when a person is no longer in current custody but the release is still recent. The source image shows how that official channel is presented.
Release from the roster does not state why the case ended. It may reflect bond, completion of a hold, transfer, release without a filed case, or another custody event. Search ARCourts and the correct clerk provide the later case trail.
Neither recent view is a permanent arrest index. For an older Prairie County booking, call the sheriff or jail and identify a narrow date range. If the agency requires a written request, the Arkansas Attorney General FOIA overview explains the state access framework.
Arkansas FOIA generally provides access to public records for Arkansas citizens, subject to exemptions and redaction.
Prairie County Arrest Data Flow
A custodial arrest can move from the arresting agency to the county jail and then to Arkansas Crime Information Center. ACIC says the computerized criminal-history file contains felony and Class A misdemeanor arrests plus judicial dispositions as reported. The court must later report the case outcome for the repository trail to become complete.
Record flow: Arresting agency › Prairie County booking › court filing and disposition › Arkansas Crime Information Center.
Late or missing court reporting can leave an official history incomplete. ARCH is also narrower than the full repository. Its public result covers Arkansas convictions, open Arkansas felony arrests less than three years old, and registry status within its rules. It excludes sealed convictions, juvenile records, federal records, and other-state records.
Note: A Prairie County roster entry may exist even when the narrower ARCH public result does not display that arrest.
Prairie County Custody Notifications
Roster checks are snapshots. A person who needs notice of a custody-status change can use VINELink, the custody notification channel documented for Prairie County searches. The source image shows its official entry point.
Notification data should be confirmed with the holding jail. Call 870-256-4138 for county custody, use Arkansas DOC for a state transfer, and use the federal locator for Bureau of Prisons custody.
Arrests Are Not Convictions
An arrest records a law enforcement action. A conviction records a judgment of guilt. Prairie County readers should match a booking to its court disposition before drawing any conclusion about the outcome.
| Arrest Record | Conviction Record |
|---|---|
| Created by police and the jail | Created by the court |
| Shows that an arrest or booking occurred | Shows a guilty plea or finding entered as judgment |
| Held in agency and booking systems | Held by the clerk and reported to the state repository |
| May lead to release, no filed charge, dismissal, or a case | May lead to sentence, appeal, supervision, or eligible sealing |
A charge can be reduced, dismissed, acquitted, or sealed. Arkansas calls its current record-clearing process record sealing. The court that handled an eligible Prairie County case is the place to ask about the petition and order.
Note: An arrest is not proof of guilt, and a booking entry alone does not show the final result of a Prairie County case.
